Im Jahre 2001 erschien die erste systematische Erfassung und Darstellung der Entwicklung der Morsetelegrafie im deutschen Sprachraum.
Der große Erfolg des Buches „Faszination Morsetasten“ führte bei
der Leserschaft zu vielen Fragen und Anregungen. Das hierbei
zusammengetragene sowie weiteres, erforschtes Material
vervollständigt das Buch in so hervorragender Weise, dass der
Verfasser diesen „Ergänzungsband“ erarbeitete und herausgab. Es
baut in seinen Kapiteln auf dem Grundwerk auf.
Eine diesem „Supplement“ beigelegte CD enthält das 2001
erschienene Buch „Faszination Morsetasten“ als pdf sowie alle
Bilddateien beider Bücher. Dies ermöglicht dem Leser, Einzelheiten
der dargestellten Tasten und Geräte auf dem Bildschirm in großem
Abbildungsmaßstab betrachten und studieren zu können.

More than ten years have passed since I edited my book "Faszination Morsetasten". Readers in more than thirty countries enthusiastically welcomed it. During these years many questions have been put to me and readers, collector's friends and Internet site operators have sent me very helpful and welcome information for which I warmly thank you all.
The extensive exchange in information has allowed me to
expand the information that I want to make available to everyone
so I have decided to publish the new information in a
"supplement".
In this new "supplement" I have been able to identify total
of 160 manufacturers of German telegraph devices and
telegraph keys. I have organized them
into a manufacturers' list and inserted pointers to
appropriate chapters in my original book and in the
"supplement".
More than 450 different instruments are now identified and
displayed in these books but I am sure that there are still
some instruments that are still to be discovered. I hope my
readers will help me to find them in the future and will contact
me with new information as they discover it.
Because the book "Faszination Morsetasten" is sold out, I have
converted the entire book into a .pdf file along with all its
pictures and included it in a CD which is added to this
book. By doing this, I have made it possible for
the reader to look at all of the details in each of the
photographs. I would like to again, warmly thank Reinhard
Scheiblich for the excellent photos that he provided for the book.
